Ölüdeniz and Saklıkent Tours from Marmaris

Picture this: cliffs tower dozens of metres above your head and a cold mountain stream rushes beneath your feet. A few hours later, you're lying on a beach with crystal-clear turquoise water while paragliders circle overhead. That's what this day looks like, combining the two most famous natural sights of the Fethiye region.

The Blue Lagoon of Ölüdeniz ranks among the world's best-known beaches. The water here stays a brilliant turquoise all year round, and paragliders descending from Mount Babadağ are constantly floating over the bay. At the beach you'll have time to swim in the clear Mediterranean and relax by the water.

Saklıkent Canyon is one of the longest canyons in Turkey. In places it is more than several hundred metres deep, and the surrounding cliffs are covered with Lebanon cedars and pines. The canyon was discovered by a local resident in 1984 and was declared a national park in 1991. The walk begins along comfortable wooden boardwalks that even children can manage, and further on the route continues by wading through the shallows of a cold mountain stream, where the water reaches from ankle to knee height.

There is a trout farm in front of the park entrance where you can sit in a gazebo and try freshly caught fish. For those looking for more action, rafting, cliff jumping and a zipline are available near the canyon.
