Tour program

  1. Hotel pickup
At the time stated in your voucher, please be on the main street in front of your hotel entrance. Our comfortable bus will pick you up within 10 minutes of the stated time. The journey to Pamukkale takes about 4.5 hours, including a technical stop at a petrol station.
  2. Kale village
Halfway there we'll make a 20-minute stop at a petrol station, where you can use the toilets, grab a snack or order hot and cold drinks.
  3. Souvenir shop
Our first stop in Pamukkale is a small souvenir shop, where you can buy local silver and zultanite crafts and use the toilets before entering Pamukkale. The stop lasts about 40-45 minutes.
  4. Facilities
When we arrive at the bus park, the guides will hand out entrance tickets to those who had them included in the price, or show you where to buy them. If you didn't include the entrance ticket when booking, please bring Turkish lira with you, based on the Central Bank of Turkey exchange rate on the day of payment. Each group has 3 hours in Pamukkale from the time the bus enters the parking area. The guides will show you the way to the white terraces, the theatre, the main sights of the ancient city of Hierapolis and Cleopatra's Pool, and advise you on how best to plan your free time. Next to Cleopatra's Pool you'll find all the facilities for a comfortable visit: changing cabins, freshwater showers, toilets and a cafeteria. Entry to the pool area is free, and tickets for swimming in the thermal pool itself can be bought either from the guide or at the reception at the entrance to the pool area.
  5. Pamukkale terraces
300 metres from the pool is the entrance to the path down along the white terraces. The walk takes about an hour and is done on your own. Remember that you can only walk on the Pamukkale terraces barefoot. Along the way there are several artificial pools filled with 30-40 centimetres of thermal water, where you can lie back and relax in the warm water.
  6. Ancient Hierapolis
The ruins of the ancient city of Hierapolis are of great interest. Its main part (the main street and the necropolis) lies to the north, 1.5 km from Cleopatra's Pool. On day trips, guides recommend seeing the ancient theatre and the Basilica of St. Philip, which are closer. If you're interested in these sights, allow 30-40 minutes for the walk to the theatre.
  7. Cleopatra's Pool
Allow 30-40 minutes to visit the ancient pool. You shouldn't stay in the thermal pools for longer than 15-20 minutes. Please note that they are not suitable for people with high blood pressure or cardiovascular disease.
  8. Departure from Pamukkale
Please return to the bus park at the time given by your guide. Please don't be late, as drivers, guides and agencies face heavy fines if the bus doesn't leave the parking area at the allotted time. Guides are unable to wait for guests or search for them across the vast grounds of Pamukkale.
  9. Dinner
After leaving Pamukkale, we'll stop at one of the tourist restaurants for dinner. It's served buffet style and is included in the tour price. Drinks are extra.
  10. Wine tasting
If the tour is running on schedule, the guide may decide to stop at a wine cellar for a short tasting of fruit wines.
  11. Return to Marmaris
The journey takes about 3.5 hours, with one short stop at a petrol station. Once we arrive in Marmaris, our bus will drop guests off along the town's main street, stopping as close to their hotels as possible. Arrival at hotels around 01:30-02:00
